The Vampire Diaries Spoilers Aunt Jenna Will Quite Possibly Learn The Truth

I have some spoilery scoop to share about "The Vampire Diaries" Aunt Jenna~Sara Canning. According to EW the sweet and clueless Jenna may not be in dark for very long about the vampires of Mystic Falls.

‘THE VAMPIRE DIARIES’: WILL JENNA LEARN THE TRUTH?
Last night’s episode of The Vampire Diaries was certainly a tough one for Aunt Jenna (Sara Canning). Not only did she find herself distrusting her beau Alaric, but then he went and all but confirmed his streak of dishonesty regarding Isobel. And as it turns out, it’s only going to get worse for Elena’s still-clueless guardian.

“We’ll see her deal with it in her Jenna-like way. She’ll deal with some crazy stuff in next week’s episode, too, actually. Something that will shake her up even worse,” Canning teases.

Um, what could be worse than that? If I had to guess, it might have something to do with Jenna being out of the loop on a certain important matter. Of course, Canning doesn’t say exactly what that was, but I think we know.

“I don’t think it will be just speculation on her part. I think we’re going to see some stuff happen that are pretty smack you in the face proof,” she says. “I’m not going to say particularly that she’s been worried about, but she’s going to have some stuff happen to her that has no other explanation and there will be no way people will talk their way out of it.”

The Vampire Diaries Spoilers Aunt Jenna Gets Some Action

Sarah Canning~Aunt Jenna Sommers from "The Vampire Diaries" dished to Zap2it recently Canning spoiled a little about tonight's episode, as well as her vampire hunting History professor boyfriend, Alaric. She also hints at whether or not her character will find out about the supernatural happenings of Mystic Falls.

The grown ups are getting together for a dinner party tonight. I'm sure that'll go smoothly.

It's fun to have all the adults in one room. The cool thing about tonight's episode, for me, is that we get to see Jenna hanging out with Elijah a lot. We get to see that interaction, and knowing that there's been a lot of distrust with Alaric, we'll kind of watch them meander around in that situation. There's a hidden motive at the dinner party, but of course Jenna's in her clueless reality, so the dinner party is going to mean many different things to everybody that is there. Everyone is at that party for a different reason.

Is Alaric jealous of Jenna's interaction with Elijah in terms of their romantic relationship, or is he just solely concerned for Jenna's well-being, since Elijah is obviously bad news?

You can read Alaric's feelings either way. Alaric's not really aware of the thoughts that are going on in Jenna's head. What John says about Alaric not being trustworthy immediately calls up Jenna's past and guys who have lied to her before. She's right back there again. As humans, we have defense mechanisms, and we'll see her treat him differently because she doesn't know what to believe. He could definitely read her helping Elijah out with his "historical writing project" as something more.


Matt and Jenna are the only two regular characters left standing who still don't know that they're literally surrounded by monsters. Will they clue in by the end of this season?

I think so. That is just a feeling, but I think at least one of them. I'm not sure if both of them will, but one. They're the two characters left grounded in reality, and one of the trademarks of Kevin Williamson is that he really puts a lot into what its like to be growing up in a small town and how relationships can build and how they fall apart. That's a major part of the show -- it's not just about ancient vampires and who needs which stone more. I think it remains important that we have some aspect of reality maintained in the show. Most of the townsfolk are choosing sides and are completely involved, it's easy to lose touch with reality.

The Vampire Diaries Episode 2.16 "The House Guest" Katherine Makes A Tomb Break?!

With "The Vampire Diaries" new episode stills that the CW released for "The House Guest", a question presents itself. Is that Katherine or Elena? Carina of Zap2it has the answer with some spoilery tease from EP Julie Plec.

So is Katherine due for a jailbreak? Executive producer Julie Plec hesitates to spill any details of her great escape. "If Katherine has her way, absolutely, she'll be getting out of that tomb," Plec says. " It's all going to come down to how crafty she can be."

In the new photos, Nina Dobrev isn't wearing a necklace -- but she is wearing a very Katherine-like smirk. What are the chances that Katherine may have found her way out of the tomb and into the Salvatore house as the house guest in question?

Chances are good. Even though she's dressed up in some very Elena-like clothes, the glass of bourbon gives Katherine away. While Elena may curl up with a glass of wine on the couch on occasion, we've yet to see her go for the hard stuff casually. As for the missing necklace, it's a heck of a lot easier to keep our vixen vamp under house arrest when she can't go out in the sun.
