Julie Plec Spoils About 'The Vampire Diaries' Season Finale

EP Julie Plec spoiled to EW about the last two episodes of The Vampire Diaries. She reveals that the May 5 episode picks up as day turns to night and, with the exception of the very end, takes place entirely on the evening of the full moon when the Sacrifice Ritual can begin. The lose of life will be momentous and Plec goes on to say,

Photobucket

“The loss of life is significant and very, very, very tragic, and the fallout of it is really painful for a lot of characters. The episode is called ‘The Sun Also Rises,’ and it’s really meant to say that our characters, at the end of this very, very long night, need to find some glimmer of hope when morning comes because what they go through is really profoundly life-alteringly horrible for them.”

Plec also spoiled that we will feel the emotional fallout of the events of May 5th during the season finale "As I Lay Dying". The episode centers around another event, a Gone With The Wind movie night in town's square where,
"Damon, who is desperately seeking forgiveness from Elena, starts to relive moments from past mistakes made with Katherine back in 1864. As is always true with these events in Mystic Falls, things go horribly awry."
Julie reminds us there's a lot going on in the finale, but because so much of it revolves around things we haven’t seen yet, she leaves us with this small hint.
”What we’re doing is telling the audience that when we hit season 3, there’s gonna be a lot of things changing for our characters and in their lives. We’re excited about it because it just shows that the show has directions that it can keep going in and going in and going in, and we’re never gonna get stuck or tired. We’re just gonna keep tellin’ stories."
Special thanks to Shirarose1.

Torture And Betrayal On 'The Vampire Diaries', "The Last Dance"

I have some small scooplets to share for The Vampire Diaries. Tomorrow's episode, "The Last Dance" will be loaded with TVD style, OMG moments. I've already spoiled the impending death of someone and revealed that poor Katherine would not be having a very good day.
Photobucket

Well, according to TV Guide Klaus will be heavily torturing Kat for some information that she doesn't actually have. Klaus then infiltrates the group using Alaric's body and has some fun with Elena and the gang. In the midst of the mind games he discovers what Katherine couldn't tell him. One would have to assume that, because it's the only 'secret weapon' to speak of, the info Klaus is seeking is the sight of the Witch Massacre and Bonnie's new witchy joojoo that takes her to the 100th power ;). Also be warned that while fighting Klaus, we will see not only a double cross, but a triple cross as well.
What's our boy Damon got up his sleeve?
Personally I think Damon will take Elena away to keep her safe, because his brother can't get the job done.
What are your thoughts about tomorrow night's episode.

Katerina Graham Dishes About The End

For me, Jeremy and Bonnie's blooming relationship has been a breathe of fresh air. Katerina Graham spoiled to Eonline about it.
"You'll see the relationship she has with Jeremy really solidify and you start to see them growing as partners. They'll also go through issues, but you really see their growth."

Photobucket

Last week's episode showed us just how much power Bonnie can harness to hopefully kill Klaus, but the extreme danger of that kind of power was also revealed, Here's what Kat had to say about Bonnie's 'calling'.

Photobucket

"She is facing life and death responsibilities, so it's going to be up to her love for Elena, how much she is willing to sacrifice and what she's not," Graham says, "Klaus is after Elena to sacrifice her, to kill her on an altar and they need a witch. So besides the fact that killing Klaus, if she even tries to, might take her down, there's also the fact that he needs a witch for the sacrifice."

Graham also spoiled about the deaths that are coming our way as season 2 comes to a close.
"I don't feel safe about myself or anyone. Unfortunately, we were told from the beginning that many people will go. I'm no exception."

Julie Plec Spoils About The 'Alaric Twist' And Isobel's Death

The Vampire Diaries EP Kevin Williamson masterminded the huge Klaus 'fake out' that left fans everywhere speechless last week. Fellow EP Julie Plec gives us the dish on Alaric's~Matt Davis new groove and how that will play out in these final episodes.

Photobucket

“It felt so good because it lets him show off a bit, because he’s so good, and it lets our audience be shocked by an unexpected development, and it’s giving us a glimpse into who Klaus is before we even get to meet Klaus, which I also love,” she says. “When [Matt Davis] would ask, ‘What are you gonna do with Alaric?’, I always told him, ‘We’re either going to make you a gloriously integral character that the show can’t live without, or we’re gonna build you up magnificently and kill you epicly.’ I won’t tell you which way that goes, but that’s the promise I made to him.”

The Vampire Diaries has twists and turns in spades and Isobel's firery death is no exception. Here Plec answers the lingering question about Isobel's death; suicide or a compelled end.

Photobucket

“I love that people debate it, because I think it’s actually fun to think of either way, but very deliberately, we used the same language as in episode 115, with the guy that got hit by the bus,” she says. “At the end of each of them, the person who’s been compelling them says, ‘Okay, you’re done,’ and they say, ‘I’m done’ like they’re grateful. So it’s a compulsion like a suicide bomber. I have done the task that I was compelled to do, and now my reason for existence is over. So we deliberately echoed that same language to imply that her death had been written in the cards by Klaus already. Why I loved Isobel taking [Elena] to the cemetery and finding a work-around her compulsion, where she’s not allowed to say anything, is she was able to apologize for not being a good mother and to give Elena that before she did what she had to do. If anything, Isobel in death was able to give Elena a tiny bit of closure.”

Updated Spoiler Preview for 'The Vampire Diaries', "The Last Dance"

Last week's episode of The Vampire Diaries left fans with their jaws open and on the floor. Well, I have a few burning spoilers to pass along for this week's episode, "The Last Dance", that will hopefully answer some of the cliffhangers we were left with last week :).
  • Matt and Sheriff Forbes, unfortunately, know everything about everything and Matt~Zach Roerig will struggle to keep his compelled rouse in place during the dance.
  • It will be a virtual shipper extravaganza with plenty of Stefan/Elena, Elena/Damon, Damon/Bonnie, Matt/Caroline, Jeremy/Bonnie and Stefan/Caroline scenes to light every fangirl's heart.
  • The moves Damon and Elena share during the '60s dance have more heat than Stefan would probably like to see. But, to the delight of Delena fans everywhere, when Damon starts grooving with Bonnie, Elena has a visible twinge of jealously.
  • Katherine briefly appears in the episode, but she's not having a very good day at all.
  • Klaus definitely has his powers in Alaric's body and while we will be sufficiently creeped out with Matt Davis' performance as Klaus, as long as Klaus is possessing him he's in very real danger. Plus, we'll get to see how unhinged Klaus really is ;).
  • The Salvatore boys have extremely different ideas about how to keep Elena safe, and Damon's secrets will start to wear on their fragile relationship. According to Eonline Damon basically tells Stefan he sucks at the one thing he's supposed to be good at...protecting his lady love.
  • Someone will be dying.
  • Keep a box of tissues on hand, because according to Zap2it, the cast is at their best and Nina Dobrev delivers a performance that will 'wreak you'.
