Vampire Diaries Spoilers: Michael Trevino Discusses Jules Motives And What's To Come

EW had the chance to speak with Michael Trevino after Thursday's transformation episode, "By The Light Of The Moon". The new werewolf spoils about things to come, especially were Jules is concerned. "The Vampire Diaries" returns January 27th with an all new episode, "The Descent".

Can you tease where we’re headed with Jules? It’s interesting because we’re preconditioned to hate her because she’s threatening our vampires, but if it turns out she’s there to avenge Mason, that doesn’t actually make her bad.
How do I answer this without getting in trouble? Jules has motives. She’s coming to Mystic Falls to look over Tyler. She wants Tyler and she needs him. For what, I can’t say. But she needs Tyler and wants to take him under her wing, but might want to be a lot closer than Mason was with him.

“A lot closer than Mason was with him…”
Yeah. I think we can trust Jules. Whereas with Mason and Katherine, that little relationship wasn’t good.

How soon will Tyler find out that Caroline has been lying to him about her being the only vampire in Mystic Falls?
He’s gonna find out really soon, and that’s just a whole different situation then with Tyler and his feelings toward Caroline once he finds out she lied.

Vampire Diaries Spoilers: Kevin Williamson Talks About What's To Come In 2011

Last night's episode, "By The Light Of The Moon" prepped us perfectly for a windfall of story to come in 2011. There were huge chunks of mythology and purpose revealed last night and Executive Producer Kevin Williamson chatted with Popwrap about what's to come when the "The Vampire Diaries" returns January 27th. He spoiled about returning characters, Damon's emotional development, family ties and much more.
Special thanks to @Shirarose1 for the heads up.

PW: Which brings us to the moonstone, its non-destruction, Luca and Jonas. What's up there?
Kevin: The second half of the season will really delve into the relationships between Jonas, Elijah and Klaus – who is still off camera at this moment. We start to answer who they are, who they were, how they know each other, what they are to each other, what they’re up to and how Mystic Falls factors into it. And by Mystic Falls, I mean Elena.

PW: Speaking of Klaus, have you guys started think about who should play it, how they should play it and when they’re going to play it?
Kevin: Yes we have started casting, but we’re not sure what episode he’ll appear. We don’t know if we should go old world gentlemen – very proper and prim. That’s kind of the expected way to play it. Then we could go and cast someone unusual -- but we don’t want to blow the casting. If it takes us a little longer to find the right actor, we’ll take it. We have a lot of story to tell before he shows up and a lot of story to tell after he shows up.

PW: What about bringing back old faces -- Katherine dropped the Isobel bomb on Stefan, will we see Mia Kirshner again this season?
Kevin: Maybe. We do utilize her character, but whether or not she comes to Mystic Falls, I’m not sure. We haven’t broken those story lines just yet. We see a world in which she could, but we also see a world in which she doesn’t. So we’re just trying to figure out what best serves us to get to the finale.

PW: Another big season long question started to get answered last night when Rose began to succumb to Jules' werewolf bite. But I'm guessing fans shouldn't assume that means she's going to die.
Kevin: We implied that a bite was fatal, but those legends are tricky. You don’t always know. We are going to show what happens when a werewolf bites a vampire in very much the same way the Tyler curse played out. I think there needs to be a true jeopardy when a werewolf bites a vampire, or there’s no real conflict. Then a vampire can just kill anyone. The werewolf needs to truly be a threat to a vampire on a full moon. They need to want to stay home, lock their doors and hide because if you get nicked, it’s a horrible, horrible, horrible ordeal.

PW: I've really come to like Rose -- and clearly Damon has as well.
Kevin: Rose and Damon aren’t meant to be together. She is a mirror into his humanity. She came in, helped him out, gave him some information and is now saying, we’ll never love each other because you’re in love with Elena. It’s all about Elena – the whole point of Rose is to throw up a mirror and let Damon see what he is. She’s so open about Damon loving Elena. Rose is just one more step in Damon’s journey.

Vampire Diaries News: Kevin Williamson Explains His Potential Companion Series That's Choke Full Of Scary, Horrible Surprises'

Kevin Williamson, Executive Producer of "The Vampire Diaries" dishes on his possible new companion show to EW
. He talks premise and what the show will and won't be.
Photobucket

If you recently heard the potential companion series to The Vampire Diaries exec producers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec (pictured) are in the early stages of developing described as “The X-Files meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” you may be imagining Alaric (Matt Davis) teaching history at a new high school. “That’s exactly what the show is not,” Williamson tells EW on the latest edition of the TV Insiders podcast, with a laugh. “That was the wrong characterization. I was like, ‘What is Buffy meets The X-Files?’ They’re completely at odds totally. It’s neither. It’s set on a college campus. There’s a little bit of some paranormal investigation involved, but it’s more about the characters. It’s more about what Julie and I like to do, which is create a world of people. A young girl goes to college, and it turns out there’s a lot more going on.”

That’s all he wants to give away for now. “Warner Bros. doesn’t like us to talk about shows that may never happen,” he says, laughing again. “We don’t know if we’ll get it written in time, or if this will be for this year, next year…. But it’s just something we’re both very passionate about because we’ve got this whole world and this whole sort of mythology about this girl and this journey that she takes. It’s full of scary, horrible murder and surprises, and all the twists and turns that we love to do, but once again it is a story about epic love. That’s what we’re about here at The Vampire Diaries. And that’s sort of why you call it a ‘companion piece,’ is because you will see those similarities in the show. You know, a bunch of fun characters that you can visit every week and watch them go through all these scary, twisty story lines, but it all leads to some greater story about epic and tragic love.”

Vampire Diaries Episode 2.12 "The Descent" New Extended Promo, Plus Short

"The Vampire Diaries" had an outstanding Fall Finale and Michael Trevino~Tyler Lockwood is certainly MVP in my book. We have lots to look forward to in 2011. "The Vampire Diaries" next new episode, "The Descent", is scheduled to air January 27th after the holiday hiatus and the CW has kindly released the promo and an extended promo.

Vampire Diaries Spoilers: Ian Somerhalder's Naked And Dishing To Zap2it

As we already know, Carina MacKenzie was onset of "The Vampire Diaries" the last few days. We can know share her interview with always charming Ian Somerhalder. He spoils about Season 2 and some upcoming nudity, accompanied by candles and Mr. Bubble of course ;).
I happened to be on set for Somerhalder's 32nd birthday, which he spent... well, naked. "It's been amazing. I apparently came into this life in my birthday suit, and I just spent the last four hours in a scene in my birthday suit," he laughs.

The scenes in question were shower scenes filmed in Damon's bathroom in the Salvatore mansion. Yes, girls... Damon finally has his own bathroom - and his own bedroom. I got to take a sneak peek of the new sets, and I'll tell you this - Damon's bedroom is very different from Stefan's and represents his character beautifully.

"There's big everything in there," Somerhalder teases. "It's awesome."

Vampire Diaries Spoilers: Candice Accola Talks Post Transformation and Sheriff Forbes

There has been such a buzz about tonight's episode of "The Vampire Diaries", "By The Light Of The Moon". EW had an interesting chat with Candice Accola~Caroline Forbes about what will happen post Tyler transformation. She also spoils and teases future episodes of 2011.
Photobucket

Where will Tyler and Caroline’s friendship go post-transformation?
The biggest thing to remember is that Caroline has been lying to Tyler. So even though there has been a really wonderful friendship that’s grown, it’s based off of lies to protect him and those around him. He thinks that she’s the only vampire town. He doesn’t know that werewolves can kill vampires. There are lot of things that she’s kept in the dark from him, and secrets don’t stay secrets in Mystic Falls very long. When that comes out, that’s going to affect their relationship, for sure.

Looking ahead: We haven’t seen Caroline’s mother in a while. Is there any story line brewing there?
No. You will see Sheriff Forbes, but there’s not a lot of interaction between Caroline and her mom. That is a story line that will need to be told. But actually, [actress] Marguerite MacIntyre hurt her leg, so she’s having to rest for a little while. She’s just physically not able to be here. So there will be a temporary absence of the sheriff, but she will be back as soon as she’s up and running. I think she tore a ligament or something in her leg, and she had to have surgery. It was one of things there where she was like, “Yeah, it just kept bugging me and bugging me,” and finally she went in, and she was like, “Oh, that’s why it’s been hurting to run and go to spinning class.” Yeah, silly. She’s resting and getting better."

Vampire Diaries Spoilers Ian Somerhalder Dishes About His Love Life

Kristin Dos Santos of EOnline had and amazing chat with Ian Somerhalder. He talks about his love life on-screen and off-screen.

Vampire Diaries Episode 2.11 "By The Light Of The Moon" Michael Trevino And His Shining Moment

Carina MacKenzie of Zap2it had the awesome pleasure of being on-set with "The Vampire Diaries" these past few days. She made her rounds and talked with not only Michael Trevino, but Candice Accola and Ian Somerhalder about today's highly anticipated Fall Finale, "By The Light Of The Moon", and what's in store for Michael's character, Tyler. The spoilery goodness is free flowing for the TVD fandom, so enjoy and tune in tonight at 8/7c.

There is one thing that everyone from Michael Trevino's co-stars to showrunners Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec agreed on unanimously: this is Trevino's episode to shine, and it's a story that's been well-earned.

"Though the promos have focused heavily on the 'triangle' drama, honestly the episode really belongs to Michael Trevino, Tyler, as we watch him go through the most harrowing experience of his life," Plec says, referring to the CW's episode trailer, which may not do the actual plot of the episode much justice.

In fact, the transformation was Trevino's most challenging experience as an actor. "By far," he says. "In all the TV stuff that I've done, guest stars and recurring, the two days of shooting the transformation scene by far was the hardest, most challenging I've ever done."

Luckily, Trevino didn't have to go it alone. Marcos Siega, former supervising producer, returned to "The Vampire Diaries" while they filmed this important hour. Trevino found comfort in Siega's presence.

Vampire Diaries Spoilers: More of Wetpaint's Interview With Michael Trevino

Here is more from Wetpaint's interview with the man of TVD Thursday, Michael Trevino~Tyler Lockwood. The "Vampire Diaries" up and coming star chats about his on-again, off-again BFF Matt and spoils about being on the Salvatore's bad side.
Vampire Diaries Season 2 Episode 10 Sacrifice

WP: Please — Tyler’s a bit of a horn dog. How can they be just friends?
MT: That too. [laughs] On set I was talking with one of my producers about how Tyler has this hat trick. He went after Vicki Donovan, Matt’s sister. And then he goes and kisses Matt’s mother. Now he’s “friends” with Matt’s ex girlfriend. It’s a little weird. So Tyler I guess does get around.

WP: About Matt! Maybe a better question would be is there friendship in the future for Ty and Matt.
MT: I believe so. I mean, Tyler doesn’t know that he was compelled. But after what happened at the party you would think that they would apologize. Tyler has definitely messed up on that but Matt has apologized for it. So I think that the roles are reversed this time. I think they will be fine.

WP: Before the whole wolf thing, Tyler didn’t really rank on the Salvatore radar. But now he’s Damon’s enemy. What’s going to happen with that?
MT: I think with the information that they’re finding about how one werewolf bite can kill a vampire it is going to cause trouble. Damon’s not going to want any werewolves just casually roaming Mystic Falls. I think that he’s going to have a problem with that. He’s going to want to address it. How far and deep he goes into it, I don’t know. But he’s going to have to do something about it. And then maybe he’ll have to deal with what part Stefan has in getting involved in this new werewolf lineage thing in Mystic Falls.

Vampire Diaries Episode 2.11 "By The Light Of The Moon" More of Ian Somerhalder's Spoilery Goodness, Including A Bathtub Scene

Ian Somerhalder is definitely making his rounds today. He spoiled a little more to EW about this week's episode, "By The Light Of The Moon", which airs tomorrow at 8/7c on the CW.

What can he tell us about the Salvatore Brothers’ relationship in this episode? ”Stefan is locked in that cave. In all actuality, it’s kind of what Damon’s been dreaming about. But truthfully, Damon wants to get his brother out of there. He’s gonna try really hard, once he works out what he needs to work out. As much as he wants to kill his brother sometimes, he loves him. Damon can’t imagine being stuck in that cave with Katherine. That would just suck. There’s such a commonality of pain between these two guys. They’re in love with the same two women. Two of them — it’s absurd. [Laughs] And the protagonists that have come to town, they mean business. They’re gonna wreak some havoc, and they’re gonna cause some problems for us, that’s for sure.”

Photobucket

Ian also gave his numerous female fans the spoiler of the season, truly an early Christmas present. Unfortunately, we won't be seeing this episode until sometime early next year. No worries though, it's just more to look forward to when "The Vampire Diaries" returns in 2011.
"I know I'm going to be naked in the shower. I'm naked in the shower in about an hour, and Damon's taking a bubble bath with candlelight and a glass of wine at the end of the episode."

Vampire Diaries Episode 2.11 "By The Light Of The Moon" Spoilers Michael Trevino Tells All!

This is a super cute interview that Michael Trevino did with TVGuide Magazine. He talks transformation and preparation for his big episode, "By The Light Of The Moon", which airs this Thursday on the CW.

Vampire Diaries Episode 2.11 "By The Light Of The Moon" Nina Dobrev Steamy Sex Scene

Thanks to EW "Vampire Diaries" fans have a conformation about this Thursday's steamy sex scene between Stefan and Katherine. Not only is it intense, but Nina Dobrev has the bruises to show for her hard work playing two characters on the CW's hit.
Photobucket

Stefan (Paul Wesley), now trapped in the tomb with Katherine (Nina Dobrev), giving in to her. If the teaser is any indication (watch it below), it could be the hottest captive sex scene since a certain cage scene on Lost. “First, Jeremy getting trapped in the tomb was like, Katherine wins! When Stefan came in, she’s like, ‘Wow, I couldn’t have planned this better if I tried. The one person I want to be stuck with, here he is, and now he’s got nowhere to go. I will seduce him, I will tease him, I will anger him.’ The line between love and hate truly is very, very thin,” Dobrev says. “So she has a chance to egg him on, and he can’t do anything about it. He has no choice but to listen, and yeah, it is a very kind of sexy, manipulative scene, and he gives in. It’s pretty crazy.”

The spoilers just keep coming for "The Vampire Diaries". Thanks to Kristin we have a tasty tidbit to pass along about this Thursday's episode, "By The Light Of Moon".
@mcmegan (via Twitter): Any Christmas miracles on The Vampire Diaries? Like Stefan getting out of cave and not sleeping with Katherine? You've seen the previews, right?
Let's just say I had a nice, lengthy discussion with Ian Somerhalder today about "cave sex," and it certainly sounds like it's not just "cave first-basery" or "cave hold-handery." Sorry, Stelena fans!

Vampire Diaries Episode 2.13 Spoilers Guess Who's Coming Back To Town?

Thanks to Hollywood life I have a juicy spoiler to pass along to "The Vampire Diaries" fandom. Looks like Uncle John Glibert~David Anders will be making a trip back to Mystic Falls.
